I have spent 25 years practicing medicine in hospitals where the problematic end results of people making unhealthy choices and not having better access to advanced diagnostics is sadly obvious. I believe a proactive approach to disease prevention is far superior to reacting after illness has occurred. OughtMed gives patients a fuller understanding of their bodies and health status and provides real, actionable advice tailored to their precise needs. The clearest path to improve wellness, increase lifespan, and improve quality of life is through knowledge, education, and collaboration with a health partner. OughtMed is medicine the way it ought to be.

Oughtmed is designed to complement your primary care physician, but we are not intended to replace your regular doctor. We encourage all clients to continue seeing their regular physicians and to communicate the findings and recommendations from OughtMed as a part of their overall health care.

• OughtMed does not take private insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare. We accept HSA/ FSA cards, PayPal, and credit as forms of payment. Payment plans are offered through third party vendors at checkout to help manage costs over time. • Medicare and Medicaid patients will need to sign an additional waiver before establishing a doctor-patient relationship with the providers at OughtMed. • Superbills can be provided if patients wish to seek reimbursement from their insurance plans.

Precision medicine refers to the individualized approach to diagnosis of medical conditions and predispositions and creation of treatment plans that exactly fit the needs of each person. This approach is based on science, evidence, and data gained from comprehensive testing, extensive medical history taking, and 1:1 conversations with a physician who has the time and desire to help you.

Dr. Liz Turner was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia and holds a Masters of Health and Exercise Science at Wake Forest University. She earned her Medical Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine where she graduated number one in her class and was a member of AOA Medical Honor Society. She completed her Internship, Residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Stanford University. She has been both a researcher and educator on clinical faculty at Stanford University, the University of California, Irvine, and UCLA and has practiced medicine for 25+ years.

• Men and women 18+ years of age are eligible to become OughtMed clients, and a referral is not required. • Currently, OughtMed is licensed to serve California residents, however there are plans to expand to additional states very soon. • Medicare and Medicaid patients will need to sign an additional waiver before establishing a doctor-patient relationship with the providers at OughtMed.
